Why I Started Happy Hub Collective: The Story Behind Our Fremantle Pottery Studio

When people walk into our pottery studio in Fremantle, they often say the same thing:

“It feels different in here.”

And that’s intentional.

Happy Hub Collective wasn’t created to be just another pottery workshop in Perth. It was built from a deep belief that creativity has the power to slow us down, reconnect us and bring people together in a way that feels meaningful.

This is the why behind the clay.

From Burnout to Building Something Beautiful

Before Happy Hub Collective became one of Perth’s go-to creative workshop spaces, I was navigating the same thing many people are - busyness, pressure and the constant pace of modern life.

I craved something slower.

Something tactile.
Something grounding.
Something that brought people into the same room without screens, without performance, without pressure.

Clay became that thing.

There’s something incredibly regulating about working with your hands. About shaping something from nothing. About being present.

And I realised quickly - it wasn’t just about pottery.

It was about connection.

More Than a Pottery Class in Perth

From the beginning, I knew I didn’t want to build a budget craft studio.

Happy Hub Collective was designed to feel elevated.

Beautifully styled tables.
Curated music.
Intentional facilitation.
Premium wine and grazing options.
Space to slow down.

Whether it’s a hens party in Fremantle, a corporate wellness workshop in Perth or a quiet weekend class, every session is designed to feel considered and immersive.

Because creativity deserves that level of care.

Why Community Matters So Much Here

Happy Hub Collective exists to create space.

Space for:
• Friends celebrating
• Teams reconnecting
• People trying something new
• Parents and kids slowing down
• Individuals rediscovering creativity

Our pottery workshops in Fremantle are about more than making mugs.

They’re about remembering what it feels like to be present.

To laugh.
To try.
To make something imperfect and love it anyway.

The Vision for Happy Hub Collective

This business has grown from a simple idea into:

• Private hens party workshops in Perth
• Corporate team building and wellness events
• Kids creative sessions
• Premium wine and grazing pottery experiences
• A growing creative membership community

But at its core, the mission hasn’t changed.

To create spaces that feel warm.
Grounded.
Intentional.
Beautiful.

Spaces where creativity feels like coming home.
