Happy Hub Collective is a Perth-based creative workshop business operated by Shiloh Blondel as a sole trader. We are committed to protecting your personal information and handling it in a responsible, transparent way.

- Book a workshop through ClassBento or directly with us
- Sign in at one of our workshops
- Contact us by email, phone or through our website
- Subscribe to our mailing list or opt in to marketing communications
The types of information we collect include:
- Your name
- Email address
- Mobile number
- Workshop attendance date and details
- Pottery piece descriptions (for collection tracking purposes)
- Your marketing preferences (opt-in or opt-out)
We only collect information that is reasonably necessary for our business purposes. We do not collect sensitive information such as health records, financial data, or government identifiers.
How we collect your information
We collect your information directly from you - either through our workshop sign-in form, our booking platform (ClassBento), by email, phone, or through our website contact form. We do not collect your information from third parties.
Where it is lawful and practicable, you have the option to interact with us anonymously or using a pseudonym. However, for workshop bookings and pottery collection purposes, we do require your name and contact details.
Why we collect your information
We collect and use your personal information for the following purposes:
- To process and confirm your workshop bookings
- To track your pottery through our firing and glazing process and notify you when it is ready for collection
- To communicate with you about your booking, enquiry or pottery
- To send you workshop news, upcoming events and promotional offers - only if you have explicitly opted in
- To improve our services and workshop offerings
- To comply with our legal obligations
We will not use your information for any purpose that is incompatible with the reason it was collected without your consent.
Marketing communications
We will only send you marketing communications if you have explicitly opted in to receive them. Your consent is voluntary, informed, and can be withdrawn at any time.
Every marketing communication we send includes a clear and easy way to unsubscribe. You can also opt out at any time by contacting us at hey@happyhubcollective.com.au.
We will never add you to a marketing list without your consent, and we will never sell or share your contact details with third parties for marketing purposes.
How we store and protect your information
Your personal information is stored securely in Google Workspace, which uses industry-standard encryption. Access to your information is restricted to authorised Happy Hub Collective staff only.
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These measures include restricted access controls, secure cloud storage, and staff training on data handling.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, except where required by law or as described in this policy.
Third party services
We use the following third party services which may handle your personal information on our behalf. Each provider maintains their own privacy and security standards:
- ClassBento - workshop booking platform (classbento.com.au)
- Google Workspace - data storage and email (google.com)
- HubSpot - customer relationship management (hubspot.com)
- Xero - accounting (xero.com)
Where your information is handled by these providers, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is protected consistently with this policy.
How long we keep your information
We retain your personal information for 3 years from the date of your last interaction with us. After this period, your information is securely deleted.
If you have opted in to our marketing communications, we will retain your contact details until you opt out or request deletion, after which your information will be removed promptly.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct any inaccurate or incomplete information
- Request deletion of your information (subject to any legal obligations we may have to retain it)
- Opt out of marketing communications at any time
- Make a complaint if you believe we have mishandled your information

Data breaches
In the unlikely event of a data breach that is likely to result in serious harm to any individual, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as soon as practicable, in accordance with our obligations under the Notifiable Data Breaches (NDB) scheme under the Privacy Act 1988.
Children's privacy
Some of our workshops are designed for children and families. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under the age of 18. Where a child participates in a workshop, their personal information is provided by and collected from a parent or guardian on their behalf.
Changes to this policy
We review this privacy policy annually and update it as required to reflect changes to our business practices or the law. The current version will always be available on our website. The date at the top of this policy indicates when it was last updated.
